To provide you with the best walking experience, RunningPal requires certain permissions on your device.
Below is a detailed explanation of each permission we request, how it is used, and how your data is managed:

Location
We require location access to record your walking route and calculate distance when you
start a walking session. Location data is only collected while you are actively
walking with the app. Route data is stored exclusively on your device and is
never shared with third parties. You can change location permissions at any time
through your device Settings.

Motion & Fitness
We use your device's motion sensors to count your steps and track your walking activity.
This data is used to display your daily step count, distance, and pace statistics,
as well as to unlock achievements. All fitness data remains on your device.

Camera & Photo Library
Camera and photo library access may be used when contacting customer support
to attach photos or take pictures for issue reporting.
The camera is only activated when you choose to use this feature
and is not used for any other purpose. You can revoke these permissions at any time
through your device Settings.

Device Identifier (IDFA)
We use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for attribution analysis
to understand how users discover our app. This helps us:
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns
- Support third-party analytics services (such as Adjust)
IDFA is a random identifier that does not reveal your personal identity.
You can reset or limit ad tracking through
Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device.

Walking activity data (step count, distance, routes) is stored only on your device
and can be cleared at any time through the app's Settings menu. If you uninstall the
app, all locally stored data is removed from your device.

The app does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect
personally identifiable information from children under 16.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your personal information, and we strive to use
commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Your walking data is stored locally on
your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
